This is a Galaxy Style 16-1, Type K1-CR oscillating table fan. Galaxy fans were manufactured by Lasko metal products, which also manufactured fans with the Sears, Crosley, Ambassador, General Deluxe and plain Lasko names on them, among others. This particular model could be found in this color scheme under the Galaxy, Crosley and Lasko name. It features three speeds, oscillaton and tiltable head. Be sure to check out www.dtvintagefans.org

Excellent *and* Adjustable,
I almost didn’t buy this because one reviewer wrote it could not be adjusted in anyway. I was pleased during installation to find a cap that easily popped off to reveal a screw that can be loosened to change the angle of the fan. I needed to mount it high and point the fan down slightly. No problem! I also needed to adjust the range of oscillation from dead center to the left slightly, and found another screw that enabled this kind of adjustment. After loosening it slightly, I moved the fan to the left, heard a ratchet-click, then tightened. Presto! This fan is perfect!

The 16 inch fan keeps the air circulating better than a ceiling fan. In warmer weather with the fan going and the windows open the apartment is pleasantly cool and comfortable. I live in the Pacific NW and have a large studio apartment. It keeps the entire living, dining area very comfortable. I’ve ordered an second one for the kitchen area.It is extremely quiet and efficient. Being wall mounted just below ceiling level,the air from it will not blow directly on your food cooling it quickly as a ceiling fan would. Storage is unnecessary, it remains on the wall year round leaving floor space free, with no cords to trip over. Great product and great price!
